Girls @ Leeds Uni Cycling Club

Although cycling is a sport mainly dominated by males, there has been a large growth in women participating in the sport in recent years. This trend is also reflected by the number of girls joining the club each year.

In 2004-5, the club had several active female members, with two girls coming on our weekend trip to Coed-y-Brenin and we even fielded three females in the BUSA Mountain Bike Champs, where all did fantastic rides.

It's not just mountain biking where there are increasing numbers of females in the club, but the road scene has several active female members taking part in the BUSA Hill Climbs and Time Trials.

So, if you're a girl and you fancy cycling, come and give it a go!
