Captain - John Richardson
Hi all, I'm your new captain for this year. I ride mountain bike and road so you'll see me on most of the club rides, you can't miss me I'm the tall one! I've started racing this season, my first race was with the club last year at light water valley in Ripon. Since then I have competed at most of the BUSA events and the National Point Series for mountain biking. Hope everyone enjoys the club and if you see me around give me a shoot. Look forward to meeting all the new members!
Secretary - Steve Adshead
I'll be responsible for a lot of behind the scenes work this year, and organising some of the club socials. I started off last year with just a mountain bike and have spent most of my beer money on a road and cyclocross bike too. I've done a fair bit of racing including most of the 24 hour endurance events so give me a shout if you need any info on that kind of thing (I can often be found going in the wrong direction). I have a bit of experience with bike repairs and a big box of tools, and will consider most jobs for a box of biscuits or a pint. See you out on the trails!
Treasurer - Alex Lincoln
I'm responsible for dealing with all matters money related for the club. So payments and expense claims etc all go through. I'm also the committee's resident non-competitive member, so I try and represent that side of things too. I'm mountain bike only guy, but you'll see me out most weekends on Sundays and maybe some nights.
Kit Sec - Leon Foks
Hey all this is the kit sec here. I look after all the orders for Torq products and club kit. I've only been riding since September 2005, which was also my first year. I'm interested in helping people who think they cannot keep up!!! Probably because I was exactly the same when I started. I only ride a road bike at the moment but when/if I get enough money I might get an off-road bike.
Downhill Sec - Ally Mackenzie
Hi, I will be organizing all of the downhill, freeride, trials and dirt jumping. Last year we took part in the specialized winter series along with Hamsterly 4x. I have a downhill bike and also a dirt jump bike so I try to do most things.
